Base de Sous-Marins de Keroman

Three gigantic reinforced concrete blocks were built between February 1941 and January 1943 on the Keroman peninsula. Home to about thirty submarines, the Lorient base is the largest on the Atlantic Wall. Accompanied by a guide, discover this important place in the history of the Second World War.

In June 1940, when France surrendered, Germany chose the port of Lorient to set up its main submarine base on the Atlantic. Three gigantic reinforced concrete blocks were built between February 1941 and January 1943 on the Keroman peninsula.
