Le Biche, the last Atlantic tuna boat, offers you an opportunity to share its passion for the wind and the tides, with cruises in the Iroise Sea. On board you can take part in the handling of the ship, managed by an experienced crew. Get set for adventure!
This is the last Dundee-rigged tuna boat on the island of Groix, one of the finest examples of pre-war fishing sail boats… Built in 1934 and fully restored in 2012, Le Biche invites you aboard for an unforgettable day at sea departing from Lorient, from 15 July to 15 August. On board you’ll take part in the crew’s life and participate in the handling of the vessel including: hoisting the sails, manning the helm, tacking, etc. Next, the vessel moors near Les Grands Sables for an idyllic lunch, before sailing around the island of Groix, to discover its treasures. For seasoned sailors, Le Biche also proposes cruises lasting from 2 to 6 days, off the coast of Quiberon Bay, the Scilly isles or the Bay of Biscay, to teach you about navigation and sea or tuna fishing under optimal conditions of comfort and safety.
